Author Guidelines

Follow these standards before submitting through our online submission system.

1. Scope and aims

CFSMR journals publish rigorous, ethical scholarship in sustainability, management, and related fields. Submissions should offer clear contributions to theory, practice, or policy.

2. Submission requirements

  • Length: research articles typically 6,000–10,000 words (excluding references); concise formats may vary by journal.
  • Files: Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF, single column, double-spaced main text where applicable.
  • Structure: title page, abstract, keywords, main body, references, figures/tables as appropriate.

3. Manuscript preparation

Title page

Include article title, all author names and affiliations, and designate exactly one corresponding author with email.

Abstract

Provide a structured abstract (Background/objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions as relevant), maximum 300 words. Include 4–8 keywords.

Body structure

Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion — adapt headings to discipline norms while preserving logical flow.

References

Use APA 7th edition for in-text citations and reference list unless a journal specifies otherwise.

4. Ethical guidelines

CFSMR follows principles aligned with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors must avoid plagiarism and fabrication, disclose conflicts of interest and funding, obtain ethics approvals where human or animal subjects are involved, and cooperate with investigations when concerns arise.

5. Review process

Submissions undergo editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review where author and reviewer identities are masked. Timelines vary by journal workload; authors receive decisions through the submission system.

6. Open access policy

Published articles are typically licensed CC BY 4.0, allowing sharing and adaptation with attribution. Exact license terms appear on each article.

7. Publication fees (APC)

Article processing charges (APC): there is currently no author fee for accepted articles. Any future fee schedule will be published here and in each journal’s policies at least 90 days before taking effect.
